Connect ChatGPT to GDP

ChatGPT connects through the GDP MCP endpoint. Demo Workspace needs no local install; the full workflow keeps repository execution, policy, and evidence on GDP Desktop.

Choose the connection path

Use Demo Workspace to try the connector without a private repository or local install. Use GDP Desktop when you want ChatGPT to work with repositories already open on your computer.

Demo Workspace: zero-install flow with a seeded workspace.

GDP Desktop: local-first repository workflow with local policy and evidence authority.

Connect the MCP endpoint

Add https://mcp.methe.tech/gdp/mcp as the GDP MCP connection in ChatGPT.

Complete the browser authorization flow.

Choose Use Demo Workspace for a zero-install trial, or launch GDP Desktop for local repositories.

For GDP Desktop, open Settings > MCP Bridge, confirm https://mcp.methe.tech, connect the gateway, and open the target repository.

Ask ChatGPT to list the repositories GDP can see before the first material change.

Know the authority boundary

The gateway transports bounded requests and results. It does not become an unrestricted remote shell and it does not gain blanket permission to write anywhere on your computer.

Connector authorization is not proof that a patch, command, test, commit, push, or deployment happened. Material success requires fresh GDP evidence.
